Tannadice top scorer Tony Andreu gave Ray McKinnon's men the lead with a superb volley from outside the box after 37 minutes but Rory Loy steered in the equaliser almost immediately and Jack Ross' side were the better team in the first half.

The winner came 15 minutes from time when Thomas Mikkelsen, on as a substitute, sent a fine header beyond on-loan Manchester City keeper Billy O'Brien.
