Dunfermline Athletic have signed former Hibernian striker Farid El Alagui on a contract until January after a spell training at East End Park.
The 31-year-old has also previously played for Falkirk, Brentford and Dundee United but injuries curtailed his appearances at Easter Road.
Allan Johnston's men are at home to Dundee United in the Ladbrokes Championship on Saturday, having beaten Brechin City 5-1 in the IRN-BRU Cup at the weekend.
