Leaders Aberdeen beat Hearts 3-1 at Tynecastle on Sunday to stay five points clear at the top of the Ladbrokes Premiership.

It was an eighth straight league win for Derek McInnes' side, who went ahead through a David Goodwillie header after nine minutes.

A superb Niall McGinn goal doubled their advantage midway through the first half and Goodwillie scored his second with a cool finish right on the interval.

Igor Rossi pulled one back from close range early in the second half but it was not enough for Robbie Neilson's men, who slipped to a third successive defeat.

Meanwhile, Celtic thrashed Dundee 6-0 at Parkhead, with first-half goals from Leigh Griffiths and Tom Rogic setting them on their way to an easy win.

Emilio Izaguirre bagged a double but missed a penalty while Scott Brown and Nadir Ciftci - with his first goal for the club - struck late on for Ronny Deila’s team.
