Montrose enjoyed a 3-0 victory at Links Park in the derby match against Arbroath. Gary Fraser scored twice in the first half and Ross Campbell added the third early in the second period.
Queen's Park defeated title favourites Clyde 2-0 at Broadwood with second-half goals from Jamie McKernon and Paul Woods.
Annan drew 1-1 with Stirling Albion at Galabank. Smart Osadolor gave Jim Chapman's men the lead 20 seconds after half-time but Sean Dickson equalised from the penalty spot. Stirling had Kevin McKinlay sent off and Annan's Peter Watson also saw red with 10 minutes left.
