Goals from Conrad Balatoni and Myles Hippolyte saw the Bairns progress while the Pars had Dean Shiels sent off in stoppage time at the Falkirk Stadium.

Raith Rovers came from behind to beat St Mirren 3-1 in Paisley thanks to goals from Lewis Vaughan, Greig Spence and Bobby Barr after Gavin Reilly had opened the scoring.

Liam Polworth's early goal set Inverness Caley Thistle on their way to a 3-0 home victory against Peterhead but Queen of the South needed extra time to overcome Montrose 3-1 at Links Park, with Stephen Dobbie bagging a double.

Crusaders beat Cove Rangers 3-0 at Station Park and The New Saints proved too strong for Elgin City, winning 4-0 at Park Hall Stadium. 

Dundee United beat Linfield 1-0 at Tannadice in the late game, with Logan Chalmers scoring a stoppage-time winner for Ray McKinnon's men.
