Falkirk booked their place in Monday's League Cup second-round draw with a 5-0 victory over East Stirlingshire on Friday night.
With the Falkirk Stadium unavailable due to a Tom Jones concert this weekend, the tie went ahead at Broadwood and the Bairns were emphatic winners over their local rivals.
Aaron Muirhead broke the deadlock in 17 minutes and John Baird doubled the lead early in the second half. An own goal and efforts from Bob McHugh and Blair Alston completed the scoring.
