Petrofac Training Services today announced that one lucky supporter will present the Petrofac Training Cup to the winning captain in April’s final.
Last year Graeme Blanche enjoyed a moment he will never forget in handing Livingston skipper Jason Talbot the trophy after the Lions’ 4-0 win over Alloa Athletic.
As part of Petrofac’s rights as the sponsor of the competition, they are entitled to make the presentation, but once again they are passing this opportunity back to the people who really matter, the supporters.
Jill Tough, marketing manager at Petrofac Training Services, explains: “Last year Graeme enjoyed the most amazing moment, up there on the podium as he presented the Cup. To see his face in the pictures is quite incredible.
“We wanted to commit early to supporters that we will once again do the same thing for either a Rangers or Peterhead fan in April.
“Sponsors often use directors or other senior officials to make such presentations, but our view is that the Petrofac Training Cup is a competition about supporters and we want them at the heart of everything we do. That means no suits on the podium again this year!”
Petrofac will be announcing several initiatives around the 2016 Final over the next couple of months, as supporters are put at the core of their sponsorship of the competition.
The “Present the Petrofac Cup” competition will launch in the New Year.
