St Mirren have confirmed the appointment of David Farrell as assistant manager on a deal until the end of season 2016/17.
Farrell - whose playing career included spells at Hibernian and Airdrie - links up with Alex Rae, having previously worked alongside the new Buddies boss at Dundee.
Saints begin 2016 ninth in the Ladbrokes Championship and face Morton in the Renfrewshire derby at Cappielow on Saturday.
