Brechin City boss Ray McKinnon has today been named League 1 Manager of the Month for February.
The former Dundee United star was the unanimous winner of the vote and has now guided his team to a 16-game unbeaten run in the league.
The Angus side won three and drew one of their February league fixtures, and remain unbeaten in League 1 since October.
Following a 1-1 home draw with promotion rivals Morton, Brechin chalked up a hat-trick of victories last month, winning 1-0 away to both Stirling Albion and Dunfermline Athletic. A successful February was completed with a 2-1 home triumph against Stenhousemuir.
With 46 points, Brechin City are now in third place in League 1 and lie just five behind league leaders Morton, although the Glebe Park side have a game in hand.
McKinnon’s rivals are having a hard time wrestling the spotlight from him as this is the second month in a row the Brechin gaffer has been named Manager of the Month.
The SPFL’s monthly awards are held in conjunction with the Scottish Football Writers’ Association, with winners voted for by members of the Scottish media.
