Forfar Athletic are now 11 points clear at the top of Ladbrokes League 2 after beating local rivals Arbroath 1-0 at Gayfield.

Josh Peters got the only goal towards the end of the first half as Gary Bollan's men gained revenge for two previous defeats to the Red Lichties this season.

Berwick Rangers defeated fourth-placed Annan Athletic 4-1 at Shielfield, helped by a hat-trick from Steven Thomson. Jordan Orru was also on target for the Borderers while Peter Weatherson scored for Annan.

Montrose hit back to beat Stirling Albion 2-1 at Forthbank and move to within a point of the play-offs. Blair Henderson's penalty was cancelled out by Chris Templeman and Graham Webster converted a spot-kick to win it 10 minutes from the end. The Binos had Calvin Colquhoun sent off in stoppage time.

Edinburgh City and Clyde drew 0-0 at Meadowbank Stadium while the match between Cowdenbeath and Elgin City was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
