Second-placed Elgin City went down 3-2 at home to Stirling Albion as Dave Mackay enjoyed a winning start as Binos boss. Darryl McHardy's opener was overturned by goals from Marc McKenzie and Blair Henderson and sub Jamie Mills grabbed a last-minute winner after Brian Cameron had levelled.

Arbroath leapfrogged Clyde on goal difference thanks to a 4-0 win at Gayfield. Bobby Linn opened the scoring, Martin Scott grabbed a double and Ryan McCord added a late fourth.

Cowdenbeath moved above Montrose with a 2-0 victory at Central Park. Nikolay Todorov scored from the penalty spot and Kris Renton sealed the points against Paul Hegarty's side, who had Cammy Ballantyne sent off in the first half.

Bottom club Edinburgh City claimed their second win of the season - Ryan Porteous scored late on in a 1-0 home victory over Annan Athletic.
