Queen of the South have named James Fowler as their new manager following the recent departure of Jim McIntyre to Ross County.
The former Kilmarnock midfielder moved to Palmerston during the summer in a player/coach role after spending most of his career at Rugby Park.
The 33-year-old has been in caretaker charge for the last three matches and his first game as confirmed manager is at home to Championship leaders Hearts on Saturday.
