Friday signings update

A round-up of the signings confirmed across the four divisions on Friday.

Partick Thistle have signed 23-year-old left-back Jake Carroll on loan from English Championship side Huddersfield Town until the beginning of January.

The former St Patrick’s Athletic player had a loan spell at Bury last season and now links up with Alan Archibald’s squad at Firhill.

Celtic's attacking midfielder Callum McGregor has signed a new five-year contract at Parkhead. The 21-year-old's impressive form this season saw him included in the Scotland squad to face Germany next weekend.

Dumbarton have signed St Johnstone striker Chris Kane on loan until January. He scored 10 goals during a loan spell at the Bet Butler Stadium last season.

Aberdeen youth academy graduate Jamie Masson has joined Brechin City on loan until January. The midfielder made his debut for the Dons in April 2012.

Stranraer have brought in former Queen of the South and Dunfermline winger Willie Gibson, who returns to Scotland after spells with Celtic Nation and Workington.

Clyde boss Barry Ferguson has completed a double signing - midfielder Stephen O'Donnell returns to Broadwood after leaving Dundee and ex-Partick Thistle and Stirling Albion winger Andy Gibson joins from Beith Juniors. Meanwhile, ex-Queen's Park midfielder Giuseppe Capuano has left the club.

East Fife have landed Hearts U20 skipper Liam Smith on loan until January but the right-back will continue to play for his parent club in the SPFL Development League.

East Stirlingshire boss Craig Tully has registered as a player but the 38-year-old defender intends to limit his appearances to helping the youngsters as an over-age player in the Development League.
