On this day in 1990 a Scottish League XI beat Scotland 1-0 at Hampden Park in a match to celebrate the centenary of the Scottish Football League.
A crowd of 15,085 saw Aberdeen striker Hans Gillhaus score the only goal after 12 minutes - he converted a penalty after Jim McInally had been brought down by Andy Goram.
Scotland, who were managed by Andy Roxburgh, included the likes of Gary McAllister, Paul McStay, John Collins and Pat Nevin while Dundee United boss Jim McLean took charge of the SFL squad, who are listed below.
