Motherwell and Rangers meet in two huge play-off games on Thursday and Sunday for a place in next season's Scottish Premiership.

The first leg is at Ibrox, with the return match at Fir Park and both games are live on BT Sport.

The Steelmen haven't come out on top in this fixture since Boxing Day 2002, when James McFadden scored a 65th-minute winner in a 1-0 victory for Terry Butcher's men.

Steven Hammell and Stephen Pearson were in the Motherwell line-up at Fir Park that day, along with the likes of Martyn Corrigan, Scott Leitch, Dirk Lehmann and Derek Adams.

Rangers, who at the time were managed by Alex McLeish, fielded a team that included Stefan Klos, Lorenzo Amoruso, Barry Ferguson, Ronald de Boer and Michael Mols.

The most recent meeting between the teams was a League Cup tie at Ibrox in September 2012, which Rangers won 2-0 thanks to goals from Lee McCulloch and Dean Shiels.
