Aberdeen’s second-most recent League Cup triumph came against Dundee in November 1995, when Roy Aitken’s men earned a 2-0 victory at Hampden.

Duncan Shearer opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark and Billy Dodds scored the second a minute after half-time. Stewart McKimmie was the Aberdeen skipper who lifted the trophy while Stephen Glass’s prize for being named man of the match was a mountain bike!

Aberdeen went on to finish third in the Premier Division that season while the Dark Blues, with Jim Duffy player/manager, ended the campaign fifth in Division One.
