As the new season approaches, we take a look back at the opening weekend of the 1994/95 campaign.
Caledonian Thistle and Ross County were admitted to the League in January 1994 and the new season saw a 10-10-10-10 set up introduced across four divisions.
Both Highland clubs made winning starts on August 13, 1994 but the biggest victory of the afternoon saw Hibernian thrash Dundee United 5-0 at Easter Road.
Come the end of the season, the champions were Rangers, Raith Rovers, Morton and Forfar Athletic. Dundee United were relegated from the top flight while Aberdeen survived after beating Dunfermline Athletic 6-2 on aggregate in the play-offs.
