Heart of Midlothian clinched the Championship title this afternoon when closest challengers Hibernian lost 2-0 to Rangers at Easter Road.
Robbie Neilson's men, who won 3-0 at Falkirk on Saturday, have an unassailable 23-point lead at the top with seven matches still remaining.
Hearts have enjoyed an incredible campaign, winning 25 of their 29 matches to date, drawing three times and losing just once - 3-2 at home to Falkirk in January.
They have scored 84 goals and conceded only 18 on their way to amassing 78 points in a season that has included a record league victory of 10-0 against Cowdenbeath. Only Dumbarton, in a 0-0 draw back in September, have prevented them from scoring in the Championship.
Hearts go into Saturday’s Tynecastle clash against fourth-placed Queen of the South on an eight-match winning run and with Premiership football to look forward to in 2015/16.
