Hibernian took a big step towards the Ladbrokes Championship title with a 1-0 win over Dundee United at Tannadice on Friday night.
The home side had Lewis Toshney sent off for a second booking after half an hour and Hibs soon took advantage when Jason Cummings lashed the ball home.
Cummings, on a yellow card, was sent off for punching the ball into the net with 15 minutes left but Neil Lennon’s men held on and are now nine points clear of second-placed Falkirk after inflicting United’s first defeat at Tannadice this season.
