The last of the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals, presented by Utilita, goes ahead at Easter Road on Wednesday evening, kick-off 7.45pm.

Hibernian and Dundee United are looking to join holders Celtic, first-time semi-finalists Ross County, and St Johnstone in Monday afternoon's last four-draw at Hampden, with ties to be played on the weekend of January 30/31.

The sides met in the capital at the same stage 12 months ago (highlights below), when United progressed 7-6 on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw en route to reaching the final.

Hibs beat Montrose 3-0 at Easter Road in round one and edged out Stranraer 1-0, also at home in round two, before beating Aberdeen 2-0 in another Easter Road encounter in the third round.

Dundee United entered the competition at the third round and overcame Dunfermline Athletic 3-1 at Tannadice after extra time.

Mixu Paatelainen's men go into the tie boosted by a 1-0 win over Ross County in the Ladbrokes Premiership on Saturday while Hibernian defeated Ladbrokes Champions leaders Rangers 2-1 on Sunday to extend their unbeaten league sequence to nine matches.
