Hibernian beat Rangers 3-2 in the Ladbrokes Championship at Easter Road on Wednesday night to move to within three points of second-placed Falkirk.
Jason Cummings gave Hibs an early lead and they doubled their advantage when keeper Wes Foderingham could only help an Anthony Stokes cross into his own net.
Jason Holt pulled one back as half-time approached but Niklas Gunnarsson struck just before the hour mark and Alan Stubbs' side held on despite Barrie McKay giving the champions hope with a stunning effort from long range five minutes from the end.
