Hibernian moved back into second place in the Championship with a 4-1 win over Alloa at Easter Road on Saturday.
Martin Boyle, Liam Craig, Jason Cummings and Dominique Malonga all scored for Alan Stubbs' side. Iain Flannigan was on target for Alloa, who are bottom of the table on goal difference.
Brad McKay converted an injury-time penalty as champions Hearts came from behind to beat Cowdenbeath 2-1 at Central Park. Colin Marshall had the Blue Brazil in front but Callum Paterson equalised before half-time.
Rangers dropped to third place after a 2-2 draw with Falkirk at Ibrox. John Baird and Tom Taiwo had the Bairns two goals ahead but Haris Vuckic pulled one back and Nicky Law equalised in stoppage time.
Queen of the South sealed a play-off place by beating Dumbarton 2-1 at Palmerston. Kevin Holt and Stephen McKenna netted for Queens before Donald McCallum reduced the deficit.
Livingston are off the bottom after beating Raith Rovers 4-0 at Stark's Park with goals from Callum Fordyce, Craig Sives, Danny Mullen and Craig Barr (own goal).
