Rangers manager Mark Warburton has made defender Lee Hodson his eighth signing of the summer on a three-year deal.

The 24-year-old, who was part of the Northern Ireland squad at Euro 2016, joins from MK Dons and is no stranger to the Ladbrokes Premiership, having spent time on loan at Kilmarnock.

Hodson told the Rangers website: "Mark signed me at 13 as an academy lad and he watched me go through the ranks and play for Watford’s first team. He went to Brentford and I went on loan for a season there and I can only sing his praises. He’s had a massive influence on my career as a youngster and I’m grateful and excited to be here working with him again.”

Hodson joins fellow new signings Josh Windass (Accrington Stanley), Matt Crooks (Accrington Stanley), Jordan Rossiter (Liverpool), Joey Barton (Burnley), Clint Hill (Queens Park Rangers), Niko Kranjcar (New York Cosmos) and Matt Gilks (Burnley) at the club.
