St Johnstone and Celtic drew 0-0 in a highly-entertaining encounter that somehow failed to produce a goal at McDiarmid Park on Friday night.
Chances came and went throughout the game in Perth but a frantic finish saw substitute James McFadden’s header cleared off the line before James Forrest rounded home keeper Alan Mannus and sent the ball wide of an empty net.
Murray Davidson was then denied by the post with Lukasz Zaluska beaten before Mannus made an outstanding save to keep out a shot from Leigh Griffiths.
The draw was enough to lift Saints above Dundee United - who travel to Inverness on Saturday - and into fourth place in the table.
