Raith Rovers Football Club, based in Kirkcaldy, is an ambitious professional football club currently playing in the Ladbrokes Championship.
We are very keen to grow our existing commercial client base both locally and across Fife and East Central Scotland and are seeking an ambitious, self-motivated and preferably experienced Business Development Executive to join our small, hardworking and friendly team.
A sales background in competitive sport would be an advantage, but is not essential. To us it is more important that your personal attributes fit with our team and that you are driven to succeed in what is a challenging environment.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Commercial Director. You will be expected to generate sales revenues through growth in sponsorship, advertising, match day hospitality, other non-match day usage of club facilities and other commercial opportunities.
Your primary focus will be on extending our reach beyond the immediate Kirkcaldy area where possible, but of course there will also be plenty of scope to bring other local businesses aboard as well. Naturally, we also want to retain our clients, both existing and new, and of course we will do that by giving them value for their money and looking after them throughout the year or when they join us for a match at Stark’s Park.
You will be required to work at Stark’s Park on home match days, in addition to your regular hours, but we will try to be flexible in terms of other working arrangements.
Remuneration package is negotiable.
