It’s fixture round 12 in Ladbrokes League 2 on Saturday, with the top three of Stirling Albion, Montrose and Peterhead separated by just three points.
Leaders Stirling Albion are aiming to maintain their perfect away record when they make the short journey to face Clyde at Broadwood. Dave Mackay's men have won five out of five on their travels but were beaten 3-2 by the Bully Wee at Forthbank back in September.
That is one of only two victories Clyde have managed so far and U20 coach Tony McNally will again be in interim charge following the recent departure of boss Jim Chapman and ahead of interviews for the vacancy taking place next week.
Montrose are in second spot, two points off the pace, after a run of four straight wins, the most recent of which was 3-1 away to bottom club Cowdenbeath at Central Park. Stewart Petrie's men will aim to keep their good form going against Annan Athletic at Links Park - Peter Murphy's team have won three and lost three of their six away games.
Title favourites Peterhead have recovered well from a couple of disappointing results earlier in the season and are three points behind Stirling after winning five of their last six matches. They welcome Stenhousemuir to Balmoor, with the Warriors just one place below them in the table and having suffered only two defeats so far.
Elgin City saw their recent good run ended by Peterhead at Borough Briggs but Gavin Price’s team are just two points outside the play-off places and travel to Cowdenbeath, who have scored only four goals this season. Berwick Rangers, in sixth spot and within sight of the top four, face Edinburgh City at Shielfield – City ended their goal drought last week but went down 2-1 to Stirling Albion at Ainslie Park, while Berwick drew 0-0 at Annan.
