Paul McManus opened the scoring from the spot, Simon Murray weighed in with a double and Bobby Linn was also on target, with all the goals coming in the first half.

Albion Rovers leapfrogged Queen's Park to climb to second place thanks to a 1-0 win over the Spiders at the Excelsior Stadium. Scott Chaplain scored the only goal early in the second half.

Berwick Rangers moved into the top four after beating Annan 2-0 at Shielfield with second-half goals from Darren Lavery and Lee Currie.

East Stirlingshire climbed above Montrose thanks to a 4-0 victory at Ochilview. David McKenna bagged a double, with Luke Donnelly and Max Wright also on target.

East Fife were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom club Elgin City at Bayview. Kevin Smith opened the scoring but Dennis Wyness equalised before the break.
