Scott Chaplain and Gary Phillips scored for Darren Young's team while John Carter replied for the visitors, who had Bryan Wharton sent off.

Leaders Arbroath were held to a 1-1 draw by East Fife at Gayfield. Simon Murray gave Allan Moore's men the lead but Jonathan Page levelled late on.

Elgin City are off the bottom after beating Berwick 2-0 at Shielfield. Archie MacPhee (penalty) and Daniel Moore scored for Jim Weir's men after the hosts had Josh Fairbairn sent off.

Montrose earned a 2-1 win over Annan at Links Park, with an Alex Mitchell own goal and a Garry Wood effort quickly turning the game round after Rabin Omar had opened the scoring.

Clyde won 2-1 away to East Stirlingshire, with Scott McManus grabbing the winner after Stephen O'Donnell's opener had been cancelled out by Neil McCabe.
