Paul Woods and Sean Burns scored in the opening 20 minutes but Bobby Linn claimed a stoppage-time consolation goal for the visitors.

Peter Weatherson grabbed a hat-trick as Annan boosted their play-off hopes with a 3-1 win away to East Stirlingshire. David McKenna had Shire level at the break but David Bates was red carded early in the second half and the visitors took advantage.

Berwick Rangers and Montrose drew 3-3 at Shielfield, with Marvin Andrews equalising in stoppage time for the visitors. Andy Russell cancelled out Scott Johnston's opener and Paul Willis had Berwick ahead at the break. Garry Wood made it 2-2 before a late Willis penalty restored the hosts' lead but Andrews levelled and Kerr Young was then sent off.

The games between Albion Rovers and East Fife and Elgin City and Clyde were postponed.
