The third round of the Scottish League Cup goes ahead this midweek, with a place in Monday’s quarter-final draw up for grabs:
Dundee United v Dunfermline Athletic - Tuesday, 7.45pm
Dundee United, runners-up in this competition last season, go into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Inverness Caley Thistle at Tannadice and face a Dunfermline side who thrashed Stenhousemuir 5-0 on Saturday. Allan Johnston's free-scoring team defeated Dundee 3-1 at East End Park in round two and dismissed Cowdenbeath 5-1 in the first round.
Livingston v Inverness CT - Tuesday, 7.45pm
Livingston remain at the foot of the Ladbrokes Championship after losing 1-0 to Hibernian on Saturday but have enjoyed better fortunes in the League Cup. Mark Burchill's men defeated Clyde 1-0 in round one then saw off St Mirren 3-2 in Paisley. Caley Thistle were League Cup runners-up in 2014 and enter at this stage due to their Europa League involvement.
Morton v Motherwell - Tuesday, 7.45pm
Morton were 5-0 winners against Elgin City in round one then knocked out Ladbrokes Championship rivals Queen of the South 1-0 at Palmerston. Jim Duffy's men were back in Dumfries at the weekend on league business and earned a 2-2 draw. Motherwell eventually came through 3-1 after extra time away to East Fife in round two but have struggled for form in the Ladbrokes Premiership and went down 1-0 at Hamilton on Saturday.
Rangers v St Johnstone - Tuesday, 7.15pm (BBC1 Scotland)
Mark Warburton has a 100% record since taking over as Rangers manager, a run that includes League Cup wins over Peterhead at Ibrox (3-0) and Airdrieonians at the Excelsior Stadium (5-0). Tommy Wright's St Johnstone are seventh in the Ladbrokes Premiership after losing 2-1 to Kilmarnock at the weekend. Rangers knocked Saints out of the League Cup last season.
Ross County v Falkirk - Tuesday, 7.45pm
Ross County are fourth in the Ladbrokes Premiership following their 1-0 win over Partick Thistle while Falkirk, who drew 1-1 at Alloa last time out, are unbeaten in the Ladbrokes Championship. Jim McIntyre's men overcame Ayr United 2-0 at the Global Energy Stadium in round two while Falkirk won 1-0 at Partick Thistle, having thrashed East Stirlingshire 5-0 in round one.
Celtic v Raith Rovers - Wednesday, 7.45pm
The League Cup holders begin the defence of their trophy on the back of a 6-0 home win over Dundee in the Ladbrokes Premiership on Sunday. Rovers have made a good start in the Ladbrokes Championship and are in the play-off places after beating St Mirren 2-1 in Paisley on Friday evening. Ray McKinnon's side took care of Albion Rovers 3-0 in round one then saw off Hamilton Accies 2-1, with both ties at Stark's Park.
Hibernian v Aberdeen - Wednesday, 7.45pm
Hibernian have already accounted for Montrose (3-0) and Stranraer (1-0) at Easter Road and were 1-0 winners at Livingston on Saturday but they face an Aberdeen team flying high at the top of the Ladbrokes Premiership with eight victories out of eight. Derek McInnes' side, League Cup winners in 2014, beat Hearts 3-1 at Tynecastle on Sunday to stay five points clear of Celtic.
Kilmarnock v Hearts - Wednesday, 7.45pm
Kilmarnock defeated Berwick Rangers 4-1 at Rugby Park in round two while Hearts have beaten Arbroath 4-2 at Tynecastle and Forfar, 2-1 after extra time at Station Park, to reach this stage. Kilmarnock have recovered from a poor start in the Ladbrokes Premiership by posting back-to-back 2-1 wins over Dundee United and St Johnstone while Hearts have followed five league wins with three defeats on the trot.
