Hibernian manager Neil Lennon has made Grant Holt his first signing since taking over at Easter Road this summer.
The 35-year-old, who has penned a one-year contract, was most recently with Rochdale and can count Nottingham Forest, Norwich City, Wigan Athletic and Aston Villa among his former clubs.
Lennon told the Hibs website: "We’re delighted to be able to secure a player of Grant’s quality. He’ll bring good experience to the group but he’s here to play and has plenty to contribute.
“The fact he has chosen to come here over other clubs who were interested in him speaks volumes about his commitment and desire to do well here."
