Rangers midfielder Lewis Macleod has been named in the Scotland squad for the first time.

The 20-year-old has been called up by Gordon Strachan for the forthcoming Euro 2016 qualifier with the Republic of Ireland and the challenge match with England. The games take place at Celtic Park on Friday November 14 and Tuesday November 18.

Macleod has been in fine form for Ally McCoist's side of late and scored the winner in the recent League Cup quarter-final against St Johnstone at Ibrox.

Celtic trio Craig Gordon, Scott Brown and Charlie Mulgrew are also included in the 27-man squad for the forthcoming double header.
