Dunfermline have signed former St Mirren defender Marc McAusland ahead of Saturday's Ladbrokes League 1 game against Airdrieonians.
The 27-year-old, who has also played for Queen of the South, has been without a club since leaving the Paisley side in April.
Allan Johnston's men are second in the table but the Pars boss had been keen to bolster his defensive options after a couple of early-season injuries.
