Dundee have announced that Neil McCann has been appointed manager of the club, just a few days after leaving Dens Park.
The former Scotland winger steered the Dark Blues away from relegation danger during his spell as interim boss but looked set to return to his job with Sky Sports.
However, on Thursday evening he was confirmed as the Tayside club's new boss following the departure of Paul Hartley towards the end of 2016/17.
Managing Director John Nelms told the club website: “We’ve had discussions with a number of candidates but Neil has been our No 1 choice since taking over as interim manager at the split.”
McCann added: “After completing my spell as interim manager I returned to Sky Sports fully committed to fulfilling my duties and continuing my career in broadcasting.
“In the past few days, however, I have had time to think about the opportunity of being manager of Dundee FC full-time and decided it was too good for me to turn down.”
