Clyde defender Fraser McGhee has not featured so far this season and is unlikely to face Rangers on Monday in the Petrofac Training Cup as he has been carrying out charity work in Kenya.
The 19 year old who established himself in the Bully Wee’s first team towards the end of last season told new manager Barry Ferguson when he was appointed that he had committed to working in Africa in the summer and he was given time off with Ferguson’s blessing.
The Broadwood boss said: “When I joined Fraser came to me and told me he had the charity work in Kenya arranged and he asked if he would still be able to go. I fully support charity work so I was happy to let him go and do it."
