Peterhead boss Jim McInally has been named Ladbrokes League 1 Manager of the Month for January after guiding the Blue Toon to three wins out of four.
The Balmoor side began the month with a 1-0 victory at Brechin and also beat Alloa (1-0) and Queen's Park (4-0) after suffering a narrow defeat to leaders Livingston.
In a tight division, Peterhead are in eighth place but are only four points outside the promotion play-offs as they prepare to host Albion Rovers on Saturday.
McInally told Ladbrokes News: "We had some big games in January and the players deserve credit for doing so well and coming through them but it’s one of those leagues that’s so cut-throat that you can’t rest on your laurels.
"There’s every chance of getting relegated and there’s every chance you could be in the play-offs. It’s nice to get the award for the team but I won’t get too far ahead of myself."
The Ladbrokes monthly awards are voted for by members of the Scottish media, with a Manager and a Player of the Month selected for each of the four divisions.
