Morton have appointed Ray McKinnon as their new manager following the recent departure of Jim Duffy from Cappielow.
The 47-year-old left Dundee United in October of last year and has also previously been in charge at Brechin City and Raith Rovers.
McKinnon's first competitive game as Morton boss will be a Betfred Cup tie in July, with the Greenock side drawn in Group E alongside Partick Thistle, Albion Rovers, Ayr United and Stenhousemuir.
Chairman Crawford Rae told the club website: “I cannot tell you how delighted we are that Ray has agreed to join us - he was an absolute stand-out through the interview stages.
“Ray has had a number of offers and we are delighted that he has belief in us, as it is very clear that he shares the same burning desire of returning Greenock Morton to the Premier League, the same passion that runs through everyone at the cub.”
