Montrose have signed 27-year-old midfielder Gavin Malin on loan from Forfar Athletic until January.
The former Spartans player could make his debut for Paul Hegarty's side in Saturday's Ladbrokes League 2 game against joint leaders Elgin City at Links Park.
The Gable Endies have also snapped up 20-year-old midfielder Adam McWilliam, who was on the books at Dundee as a youngster and was with Cove Rangers last season.
