Montrose beat Brora Rangers 3-1 to retain their place in the SPFL on a dramatic afternoon in front of 2,132 fans at Links Park.

Paul Hegarty's side trailed 1-0 from the first leg against the Highland League champions but Scott Johnston struck eight minutes before the break to level the tie.

Colin Maclean made it 1-1 just after the interval but Brora were then reduced to 10 men when top scorer Steven Mackay received a second yellow card.

Marvin Andrews - who scored an own goal at Dudgeon Park last week - put Montrose ahead on the day and level on aggregate with 15 minutes left and Garry Wood sealed a priceless victory with a stunning long-range goal 60 seconds later.
