Morton manager Jim Duffy has signed defender Jack Iredale on a six-month deal ahead of Saturday's game against Edinburgh City at Cappielow.
The 21-year-old was born in Greenock but moved to Australia as a youngster and played for Perth Glory before a short spell with semi-professional side ECU Joondalup, prior to his attempt to earn a deal in Scotland.
Duffy told the Morton website: "He’s a young lad who doesn’t really have any experience in this country, so we’re not 100 per cent sure of what level he can reach, but certainly in training he looks very accomplished and very comfortable."
