Declan McManus scored twice at the end of the first half, one from the penalty spot, on a day when both teams finished with 10 men - Ricki Lamie and later Chris Aitken saw red.

Forfar are second following their 3-1 victory over Dunfermline at East End Park. Martyn Fotheringham, Chris Templeman and Dale Hilson (penalty) all scored in the first half but Faissal El-Bakhtaoui pulled one back.
