Motherwell beat Hamilton Accies 4-0 in the Lanarkshire derby at Fir Park on Friday night to move level on points with third-bottom Ross County.
All the goals came in the second half, with Lionel Ainsworth and John Sutton both scoring twice as Accies saw their winless run extend to 11 matches.
Ainsworth fired Ian Baraclough's men ahead with a stunning strike from distance just after the break and the winger arrived at the back post to smash home the second goal 60 seconds later.
Accies had Darren Lyon sent off for a bad tackle and Sutton came off the bench to nod in an Ainsworth cross for number three before completing the scoring from the penalty spot with seven minutes left after Lee Erwin was tripped in the box.
