New deal for Stenhousemuir manager

Stenhousemuir boss Brown Ferguson has agreed a new three-year contract with the Ladbrokes League 1 club.

Stenhousemuir boss Brown Ferguson has agreed a new three-year contract with the Ladbrokes League 1 club.

The 35-year-old has been in charge at Ochilview since the departure of Scott Booth in February 2015 and kept them in League 1 last season.

The Warriors are currently bottom of the table ahead of Saturday's home game with joint leaders Alloa but a Stenhousemuir spokesman said: "An important part of the club's three-year plan will be how we support the development and growth of our first team.

"The board recognises the work that our manager Brown Ferguson has done in his time at the club, not just as the manager but also in his time as a player and coach.

"The board unanimously feel that our three-year plan will have Brown at its core, continuing to lead and develop the squad of players. This deal underpins how much we value Brown, recognise his commitment and believe in his ability to lead the team."
