Hearts have signed Spanish midfielder Miguel Pallardo until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old could make his debut in Saturday's Championship game at Dumbarton if international clearance is received in time.
Pallardo has previously played for Valencia, Getafe, Levante and Almeria and manager Robbie Neilson told the Hearts website: "Miguel will be a great addition to the squad - he has good experience of La Liga and hopefully that will benefit the team."
