Albion Rovers are looking to boost their crowd for tomorrow’s game with Annan at Cliftonhill by making entry a ‘Pay What You Can’ offering.
The Coatbridge side had success with the scheme in January of last year for a game with Montrose that saw the attendance increase by 125% and gate receipts jump by 160%.
Fans can get in for a minimum of £2, with a spokesperson saying: “As a goodwill gesture to our fans, Annan’s and any neutrals, we are welcoming in 2015 by throwing open the gates.
“With the Rovers involved in a three-way challenge at the top of League 2, we are hoping that football supporters will be both honest and generous. We are placing a minimum of £2 as entry and anything fans want to give above that sum is entirely at your discretion.”
