Midfielder Stephen Pearson has returned for a second spell at Motherwell, 11 years after leaving Fir Park.
The 32-year-old began his career with the Steelmen before moving on to Celtic, Derby County and Bristol City and was recently playing in India with Kerala Blasters.
Pearson, who has 10 Scotland caps, has signed until the end of the season and, subject to international clearance, will go straight into the squad for Wednesday's game at Celtic Park.
He told the Motherwell website: "I am delighted to be back - I’ve got great memories of this place from the past. I’ve been playing regularly for the last few months and feel fit.
“I have trained with the lads, not only during the summer but over the last week, and I am just desperate to get involved now.”
