Petrofac Training Cup Final set for McDiarmid Park, with free tickets for U12s and spectacular fanzone.
The Scottish Professional Football League today announced that the Petrofac Training Cup Final between Livingston and Alloa Athletic will take place at McDiarmid Park, Perth, on Sunday 5 April 2015, live on BBC ALBA with a 4.05pm kick-off.
The SPFL and Petrofac Training Services are also pleased to announce several key initiatives to encourage as many football fans to attend the showpiece occasion as possible including:
- FREE tickets for U12s
- FREE Fan Zone for all ticket holders on the day
- Competitively priced tickets for adults (£15) and concessions (£5)
- Access to tickets for supporters of both clubs and all football fans
- Extensive entertainment in-stadium on the day including pre-match, half-time and full-time
Ticket sales arrangements and full details of the day’s entertainment will be announced in February via the SPFL, Petrofac Training Cup and official club websites.
Livingston secured their place in the showpiece final with a dramatic penalty shoot-out win over Stranraer, whilst Alloa Athletic recorded a remarkable victory over Rangers, coming back from two goals down to win 3-2 in December.
SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster said: “We’re confident that this will be a real community football final, which will be enjoyed by supporters of both teams and indeed all football fans. Working with Petrofac Training Services we’re delighted to be making a real occasion of the day and hope that McDiarmid Park will bear witness to a large crowd on what is Easter Sunday.”
Mark Burchill, Livingston FC manager said: “Livingston fans are excited about the final, and it looks set to be a brilliant event at McDiarmid Park. As a team we can’t wait to play Alloa in front of our fans and put on a performance for them to be proud of.”
Barry Smith, Alloa Athletic FC manager said: “We are delighted that McDiarmid Park has been chosen for the Petrofac Training Cup Final, particularly as it promises to be a fantastic day out for all football fans. The team are excited for the Final and I hope the support in Alloa will make the journey through to back the boys on the day.”
