The Championship and League 1 play-off semi-finals get under way on Wednesday evening, with the second legs taking place on Saturday.

Championship play-off semi-finals, 1st leg

Brechin City v Alloa Athletic - Wednesday, 7.45pm
Brechin were already assured of their play-off place before Saturday's 3-1 home defeat to Stranraer and boss Ray McKinnon has won three of the last four League 1 Manager of the Month awards. Alloa saw off Cowdenbeath 3-0 at the Indodrill Stadium but Livingston's victory over Queen of the South consigned Danny Lennon's team to ninth place on goal difference.

Forfar Athletic v Stranraer - Wednesday, 7.45pm
Dick Campbell's side finished third, having been leapfrogged by their play-off opponents after losing 3-1 to Ayr at Station Park. Forfar still won more home games than anyone else in League 1 while Stranraer head north again boosted by a good weekend win at Brechin. The four meetings this season have produced two 1-1 draws, a 4-2 win for Stranraer and a 1-0 victory for Forfar.

League 1 play-off semi-finals, 1st leg

Arbroath v Queen's Park - Wednesday, 7.45pm
Arbroath led League 2 for a long spell but a poor run in 2015 ended their title hopes. Allan Moore recently parted company with the club and Todd Lumsden steered the Red Lichties to a 5-0 Gayfield win over Berwick on Saturday. Queen's Park finished the season in second place, five points clear of Arbroath, but went down 2-0 to Clyde at Broadwood in their final match.

East Fife v Stenhousemuir - Wednesday, 7.45pm
East Fife sealed a top-four finish in League 2 with a 3-1 home win over Elgin City and are looking for an immediate return to League 1 after being relegated via the play-offs last season. Stenhousemuir's hopes of climbing out of the bottom two were ended when Ayr won at Forfar on Saturday, while the Warriors were beaten 3-2 by local rivals Stirling Albion at Forthbank.
