The Scottish Premiership returns this weekend, after a break for the internationals, with six key games as the split looms.

Hamilton Accies keeper Michael McGovern (pictured) will be hoping to help Martin Canning's side end their disappointing run when they face a St Johnstone team just above them in the table at New Douglas Park.

Second-placed Aberdeen welcome Partick Thistle to Pittodrie while Inverness CT, in third and on course for Europe, are at home to a Dundee side looking to break into the top six.

Dundee United have not found wins easy to come by of late and face an in-form Ross County team at Tannadice, with the Staggies now three points outside the relegation zone.

Kilmarnock, who could still make the top six, are up against second-bottom Motherwell at Rugby Park.

The action gets under way on Friday when St Mirren, four points adrift at the foot of the table, entertain leaders Celtic - the game is live on BT Sport with a 7.45pm kick-off.
