Ross County continued their superb run of form with a 2-1 victory over Dundee United at Tannadice to stay three points outside the relegation zone.

Jackson Irvine's opener was cancelled out by Nadir Ciftci's penalty but Raffaele De Vita grabbed the winner with 18 minutes left.

Motherwell, in 11th place, moved seven points clear of bottom club St Mirren with a 2-1 win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. Youngster David Syme gave Killie the lead but Stephen Pearson equalised and Lee Erwin netted the clincher.

Second-placed Aberdeen were held to a 0-0 draw by Partick Thistle at Pittodrie.

Inverness CT and Dundee shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw in the Highlands. Paul McGowan opened the scoring early in the second half but Graeme Shinnie equalised soon after.

St Johnstone stay just above Hamilton Accies in the top six after a 1-1 draw at New Douglas Park. Ali Crawford scored early on for the hosts but Brian Graham equalised after Hamilton player/boss Martin Canning had been sent off.
